Police are hunting a man who took selfies on a missing mobile phone - which were then sent to the woman who owns it and suspects her phone was stolen.
Daniela, 21, of Portsmouth, Hampshire, was shocked to find the image had uploaded automatically to her Dropbox account, a free facility for storing photographs on the internet.
Daniela and her friend Jennyfer, 28, who did not disclose their full identities, noticed their Samsung Galaxy mobile phones were lost during a night out in the city.
After returning home without the gadget - worth £600 - Daniela was stunned to see the pictures in her Dropbox account on her computer.
Daniela, from Southsea, Hampshire, said: 'I had my bag with me all night and the theft must have happened in the space of five minutes.
'My ticket for the nightclub cloakroom was with my phone and I took it out of my phone’s case as we were leaving.
'When we came out of the club we realised our phones were gone - I couldn’t believe it. I’ve never had my phone stolen before.
'Luckily photographs from the phone automatically upload straight away to Dropbox - it’s a way of saving space on your phone.'
The pictures show the suspect wearing a white t-shirt and slumped against a wall.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: 'Police are investigating a report of a mobile phone theft at the Astoria Nightclub on Guildhall Walk in Portsmouth just after 2am on April 25.
'A 21-year-old woman had two Samsung Galaxy mobile phones taken from her bag.
'Police are now investigating photos that appear to have been uploaded from one of these phones, and would like to speak to the man shown in these images.'
