Gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi, who achieved notoriety when he became the first Nigerian to come out of the closet on television, yesterday marked his 10th year living with HIV.
He was diagnosed in 2004, same year he was expelled from University of Lagos and same year he was on Funmi Iyanda's New Dawn talk show on the Nigerian Television Authority where he publicly came out before the nation and asked for acceptance from the public.
