Hijacking attempt of a plane heading from Ukraine to Turkey.
The pilot sent a hijack signal to the airport official. And promptly the plane landed in another airport other than its potential destination. And presently been searched for a bomb in the baggage hold of the plane.
Today is the opening ceremony of the winter Olympics in Sochi Russia. And it's going on now. There has been heightened security alert in Russia for days before the start of the games because of Russia's strong stand against gay and same sex and so many other European countries aren't in good terms with them.
But the latest on the plane hijack is that all 110 persangers have been taken safely off board while Turkish authorities are currently searching the plane for the explosives.
