The Lupita effect!! That's how I could describe what happened after the sale of a $24 Clarins lip balm skyrocketed just because Lupita was seen on

video giving it out as her share of the tip for pizza delivery guy in the just concluded Oscars.

Ok, this is what happened. Remember just before the show started, Ellen the host surprised everyone by making a pizza pre-order. So immediately after announcing that everyone must be hungry, the pizza was shared to everyone. However its more like  a custom in America for tips to be offered after pizza delivery so everyone including Lupita had to give off something as tip. Well for whatever reason she gave off her $24 clarins lip balm and bam!!! That was it!!

First the #lupitalipbalm was created on twitter and it caused a social network frenzy. Soon the crarins lip balm flew off store shelves. Practically everyone wanted a share of Lupita Oscar winning lip balm!!!

It almost sold out in one night in the city. Stocks had to be brought in from Paris....lol.
