Justin Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette is concerned for the welfare of the 19-year-old following his alleged use of recreational drugs and behavioural issues.
The 37-year-old author - who gave birth to the popstar when she was 17 - believes fame is the main cause for his naughty antics, she has revealed.
'I think so many people go into the entertainment industry with amazing Christian roots and they get influenced somehow.
'I ask that people keep me and Justin in their minds. I pray for him every day.
Pattie, who wrote a book about her life as a teen mother, has battled herself with drug addiction in the past and doesn't blame the Believe hitmaker for his wild partying and run-ins with the law.
According to the newspaper, she opened up about her drug-taking and alcohol consumption, which reportedly led her to go on to be a dealer, during a night out with friends in Texas.
She said everything was put in perspective after she tried to kill herself. When she fell pregnant six months later her son, people suggested she should have an abortion.

She now believes ignoring those people was the best thing she has done.
