'My experience will help Eagles' - Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo

Nigeria captain Joseph Yobo says he has nothing to prove to anyone but himself.

Yobo is six appearances away from being Nigeria’s first 100-cap player, but his recall to the squad has been met with some scepti­cism from certain fans.

But Yobo, 32, told KickOffNigeria.com that he was not out to impress any­one but himself.

“I am a professional. I have been playing for a while and right now, I don’t have anything to prove to anyone but myself,” he said.

“I am my own competition, and if there is anyone I have anything to prove go, it is myself and the coach, who has put his confidence in me.
