Taraba State University Student Commits Suicide Over School Fees .

A 400 level student of the Taraba State University, identified as Samson, alias DG, yesterday committed suicide, after quarreling with his elder sister over tuition fee.
It was gathered that the deceased, left a suicide note in his pocket, where he indicated that he could not continue to face challenges that would be troubling his mind before he drank the poisonous substance that ended his life.

The deceased’s sister who pleaded anonymity told our source that she only asked her brother to provide the receipts of the payment of his younger ones’ tuition fee, stressing that “Sam just felt offended because she asked of the receipt.”
A close friend of the late Samson, who was also his roommate, expressed dismay at the ugly incident and wondered why Sam committed suicide.
While narrating that he had woken up to discover that Sam wasn’t in the room, he said, “We have gone so far in our education and we are thinking of graduating after all the struggles from 100 to 400 level. I wonder why Samson would think of doing something like that,” he said.
When contacted, the Taraba State police public relations officer, ASP Joseph Kwaji confirmed the incident.
According to ASP Kwaji, the deceased, in his letter, “urged youths to be mindful of the fact that committing suicide is not a solution to any problem but a gate way to entire condemnation.”
