ROONEY NOW LOOKS TO GOD TO HELP MANCHESTER UNITED WOES. SEE TWEET

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney appears to be hoping Divine Intervention can turn the club’s fortunes around.

United fell to their eighth Premier League defeat of the season at Stoke on Saturday, leaving manager David Moyes hoping for a miracle as his team desperately cling onto the coat-tails of the top four.

The loss seems to have hit Rooney particularly hard, with the England forward apparently sat up at home watching GOD TV at 2am in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In a tweet Rooney later deleted, at 2am, the 28-year-old wrote on his official account: “@godtv I’m watching and feel you. Much love.”
Rooney has in fact revealed his religious side in the past – admitting that he regularly prays for his family before every match.

Whether God can raise United's fallen edge is yet to be see.
