The image of the couple embracing and smiling, which has the caption 'Four more years', was posted after Obama's election victory today and has accumulated more than three million Likes.
 has also been shared more than 350,000 times. More than 144,000 people have commented on the photo, largely congratulating Obama on his victory.
The picture was also tweeted, and went on to become the most popular tweet in the history of twitter.
has so far been retweeted more than 630,000 times and favourited more than 213,000 times - beating a message from singer Justin Bieber to the title of most popular tweet.
