The first wife of the Oba of Benin, Oloi Esther Erediauwa nee Osunbor(Eson N’erie of Benin Kingdom) is dead. She died yesterday in Benin City after a brief illness that started in December 2013. According to a tribute by one of her close relatives, “Sad sad day in the Osunbor family.. Queen Esther Omoyemwense Erediauwa. The first child of my Grandfather and the First wife of the Oba of Benin kingdom. It saddens my heart to say good bye.. You weren’t just my aunt, you were my big mommy........
