PROTEST IN LASU. STUDENTS IN RAMPAGE

LASU students protest tuition fees, destroys VC’s official car.

Students of the Lagos State University, Ojo Main Campus, went on rampage, Thursday, protesting the hike in the institution’s tuition fees.

It was gathered that those who could not pay the nearly N250, 000 fee as at the deadline set by the university management, were on Thursday disallowed from writing their exams.

It would be recalled that the school, not long ago, made an upward review of fees applicable to new and old students.

Even those who tried to make payment were denied doing so on the school portal.

The aggrieved students who made bonfires, damaged the official vehicle of the Vice Chancellor, Professor John Oladapo Obafunwa.

Equally destroyed was an utility vehicle driven by his Personal Assistant.
