Microsoft looks set to launch the next version of Windows in April next year as Windows 9, according to a new report.
Even with the Windows 8.1 point update, the current version of Microsoft's operating system is apparently suffering from poor sales and customer feedback.
"Microsoft is currently targeting April 2015 for the release of Windows 9 Threshold,"
"In some ways, the most interesting thing about Threshold is how it recasts Windows 8 as the next Vista. It's an acknowledgement that what came before didn't work, and didn't resonate with customers," he added.

IMO, what is responsible for the poor sales n feedback is largely due to the fact that not everyone depend 100% on laptops for their jobs or games, etc. Phones, mostly smart phones, are giving them a hard fight.
