how to upgrade your QSAT Q11G decoder to the recent version 5

For many users of qsat, its no longer news that for some days it have been experiencing freezing and very few dst* channels were opening. The reason according to guys from qsat is that they are upgrading their software, so if u r still in the lower version then u will still b facing such problems.
 The fact is that they are done with the upgrade. All u need to do is download the newest version and upgrade ur version and rescan ur channels.
 Many people or dealers will want to take money to help u upgrade, but fact is it can b done by anyone. If u can follow these steps as closely as possible. But first u need to have the file. If u need it, drop ur mail in the comment space. 
When u get my reply with the file attached, please download. Then u r set for the upgrade.

Its important that before u start u shud have a constant power source, likely a generator or solar inverter. If there is power failure during upgrading, it will completely destroy the decoder. . That noted next step is

1. Transfer the file from ur computer or phone to a USB flash drive. And connect to ur decoder.
2. Press the menu button and navigate to UPGRADE page. Press ok and select USB/CARD UPGRADE. That shud give u access to the flash drive attached to ur decoder. Select the file I sent and press ok.
Dont do anything until the upgrade is complete.
3 Then restart the decoder if it didn't restart by itself. A small dialog box will pop up. Make sure its on blind scan. So it can scan all the channels all over again.press OK and  Save the channels.

4. If u can't find ur xcam code in the settings page, Dont panic. Just press the code 1512 in ur remote while you r on that page and it will show.
5. Many people have had issues with retrieving their access or activation code, but for all that I have helped, it should not b a problem if you have a good network.
